KC’s half-sister Cloie Syquia Skarne is 2018 Miss Universe Sweden first runner-up

KC Concepcion’s half-sister Cloie Syquia Skarne came close to competing against our very own Catriona Gray for the Miss Universe crown this December, after she finished as first runner-up in the recently concluded Miss Universe Sweden, PEP.ph reports.

Cloie is not new to the pageant circuit. In 2016, the daughter of Gabby Concepcion and Jenny Syquia was crowned Miss Earth Sweden, flew to Manila to compete in the pageant, and finished in the Top 8.

But the crown went to Emma Strandbergh, who, like Cloie, is not new to the pageant circuit.

When Cloie was crowned Miss Earth Sweden in 2016, Emma was crowned Miss World. And where Cloie finished in the Top 8 of the 2016 Miss Earth pageant held in SM Mall of Asia Arena, Emma competed against Catriona Gray in the 2016 Miss World pageant held in the US. 

Emma failed to place in the Top 20, while Catriona made it to the Top 5. 

Funny how Emma and Catriona will be competing again in the 2018 Miss Universe pageant! — LA/AT, GMA News
