Yssa Muhlach, Katarina Rodriguez, more familiar faces compete for Miss World PHL 2018 crown
Ever since Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach proved that third time could be the charm, young women who dream of wearing their very own crown have gained the confidence to keep pursuing their dreams.
Miss World Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray is aiming for the universe this year and in the same vein, a Binibining Pilipinas queen is also crossing the river.
It was announced Wednesday that Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2017 Katarina Rodriguez is an official candidate for Miss World Philippines 2018 — and she's not the only familiar face in the lineup.
Fresh from the 55th Binibining Pilipinas pageant is Binibini No. 5 Rose Murphy. In a post on her Instagram account, Rose said that she'll be braver this time around.
Tagged "showbiz royalty" by pageant news source Sash Factor, Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez was a head-turner during the auditions. Alyssa or Yssa, daughter of actor Almira Muhlach and former PBA star Bong Alvarez, is definitely ready for the competition.
