IV of Spades to continue without vocalist Unique Salonga
After four years, Unique Salonga is leaving the band IV of Spades and going solo.
The rest of the band — Zildjian Benitez, Blaster Silonga, and Badjao de Castro — announced that they will be continuing to "create and share more music" as they play their shows in the coming weeks.
The band has yet to release a full-length album, but their single "Mundo" has been received well. Their '70s-inspired sound has earned them a nod from the MYX Music Awards and a win at the 30th Awit Awards.
The announcement was met with sadness by their supporters, with some fan accounts expressing their feelings in meme form.
