Arnold Clavio among 10 Outstanding Movers of the Philippines


GMA News anchor Arnold Clavio and nine other individuals on Monday were feted in Malacañang for their achievements in various fields.

Clavio was awarded as one of the Ten Outstanding Movers of the Philippines 2018 by the Students’ Actions Vital to the Environment and Mother Earth (SAVE ME) Movement for his works in media and communications.

The organization said it confers the award to an individual who is a "champion of life and hero of the social and physical environment." 

 

 

The other awardees were Naga City Mayor John Bongat (public service), Rogelio Espejo Jr. (agriculture and food and security), lawyer Lorenzo "Larry" Gadon (rule of law and justice), Dr. Meriam Mani (education), Emiljun Rapada (diplomacy and peace), Daisy Tan (business and entrepreneurship), actress Vivian Velez (social and political reforms), Dr. Zal Velez (education, arts and culture), and engineer Pablito Yra (science and technology).

Clavio has been a journalist for over 30 years.

He is one of the hosts of the country’s longest-running morning show Unang Hirit and anchors GMA’s late night newscast Saksi.

Clavio also co-anchors the weekday radio program Dobol A sa Dobol B on Super Radyo dzBB. —NB, GMA News
