Rachel Peters makes it to the Final 16 of Miss Universe 2017 as a wild card

Philippines' representative Rachel Peters has successfully made it to the Final 16 of the 66th Miss Universe at The AXIS Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, United States on Monday.

"It's such an honor. It means the universe for me," Peters said upon being called. She was the first wild card contestant.

Europe:

• Ireland
• Croatia
• Great Britain

Asia, Africa, and Oceania:

• Thailand

The Miss Universe Organization implemented a new mechanics for the coronation event, they selected the top 16 semifinalists per continent.
