Winwyn impresses in ‘Pintados Warrior Queen’ national costume
Another day, another win for Winwyn Marquez. Le Reina De Asia on Thursday evening in Bolivia took the stage as a "Pintados Warrior Queen" for the National Costume competition of the 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana pageant.
Her golden look landed her a spot in the Top 3, alongside delegates from Venezuela and Panama.
Winwyn's attire was designed by Edwin Uy, who took inspiration from the indigenous people encountered by Spanish colonists in the Visayan region.
"When the Spaniards came here in the Philippines, the very first people they saw were the tattoed people from Cebu which they called the Pintados," Uy shared on Facebook.

Panama's Carolina Castillo was eventually awarded Best in National Costume.
Winwyn, meanwhile, has been effortlessly slaying in TV appearances and photo shoots.
