Pilot queen Nelda Ibe receives a special greeting from Duterte

Pilot and beauty queen Nelda Ibe has flown to Albania to represent the Philippines in the 2017 Miss Globe pageant and she brought with her a confidence boost in the form of a special message.

Prior to Nelda's flight, President Rodrigo Duterte sent his good luck wishes to the beauty queen through a video.

"I am the happiest with your goodluck message Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. Thank you, Mr President!," Nelda declared in an Instagram post.

Nelda arrived in Albania on Wednesday.

The Philippines currently has the most number of votes for the Miss Globe Internet Award. The winner in this category is automatically guaranteed a spot in the semifinals.
