Flotus Melania Trump wears Filipino designer Monique Lhuiller to a gala

At the Ford’s Theater Gala on Sunday, an event honoring US President Abraham Lincoln, First Lady of the US Melania Trump looked stunning in an elegant champagne gown made by Filipino designer Monique Lhuiller.

“Melania paired the cap-sleeved dress with matching silk charmeuse, blush-colored Manolo Blahnik pointed-toe pumps and her iconic tousled hair, draping around her face,” writes John Binder on Breitbar.com.

The draped gown with front knot is included in Lhuiller’s Resort 2017 collection and retails for for $2,595 (about P128,500).

“Elegant in silk,” The Filipina designer exclaimed on Facebook, where she posted photos of Melania wearing her creation.

 

The post, however, was quickly met with disdain. Remind me never to buy your clothes,” one commenter wrote.

"Ugh! I love you and I wish you wouldn’t dress this family,” said another.

“No longer a fan of Monique Lhuiller. Praising Melania Trump in form is a slap to to [sic] world,” adds another one.
