Wonder Woman Gal Gadot was Miss Israel in the Miss Universe 2004 pageant

It seems like the world has fallen madly in love with Gal Gadot, current Wonder Woman.

People have been digging up old videos of Gal and sharing them on Facebook, like this cute one of her lip syncing way back in 2014.

Among the many better finds, however are those of her as Miss Israel in 2004. Check them out below:

In a video interview with W Magazine, Gal shares that it was her mother who made her join in the Miss Israel pageant. She was 18, on her gap year, fresh from high school graduation.  “I got in and I never thought I would win. And then I won and then it scared me.”

Gal admits that during the 2004 Miss Universe pageant held in Ecuador, she turned “naughty. I wasn’t behaving. I’m a really good girl but because I was afraid I would win again…I didn’t want them to choose me again, I came late in all the rehearsals and I wasn’t wearing the right evening gowns for breakfast.” Watch it below:
