Pia Wurtzbach visits her famous blue evening gown

Pia Wurtzbach on Friday visited her famous blue evening gown for the first time.

Renowned designer Albert Andrada shared the moment on Instagram, where the beauty queen is seen posing — almost like a fan — next to the iconic dress she wore for the Miss Universe 2015 final competition.

Wurtzbach was accompanied by her racer boyfriend Marlon Stockinger, who also posed for a photograph.

"First time to see her (national costume) and evening gown displayed in my boutique. We love you Miss Universe [Pia Wurtzbach]!" Andrada wrote in the caption.

Wurtzbach and Andrada have both shared the exciting story behind the gown, which was made in just 9 days.

"I was told lang on December 9 and I was leaving on the 18th. Kaya nga, it was nine days of hard work day and night," Andrada said in an earlier interview with GMA News Online.

The gown's rich blue color is inspired by the Philippine seas and, according to Andrada, was Wurtzbach's first choice. The decision to wear a Filipino designs was also due to Wurtzbach's prodding.

The iconic gown as well as Wurtzbach's national costume are still on display at the Albert Andrada Luxewear boutique at Greenbelt 5, Makati City. — AT, GMA News
