Miss Universe candidates explore PHL after the competition
While most of the delegates went home the day after the 65th Miss Universe grand coronation event last week, some beauty queens opted to stay behind and enjoy a short vacation in the most beautiful islands of the Philippines.
Miss New Zealand Tania Dawson spent her time in Cebu before flying back to her home country on Sunday.
“I have had the most amazing time here in the Philippines for @missuniverse... Thank you Philippines for being the best host and making me feel at home. I will be back,” she said.
Meanwhile, Miss Germany Johanna Acs and Miss US Virgin Islands Carolyn Carter explored the breathtaking Palawan to unwind after the competition.
According to Johanna, who went to El Nido with her family, “I really felt like I found paradise on earth... Warmheartedly recommending everyone to visit this place once in your life! It was so worth the 6 hours drive from Puerto Princesa... I can see why UNESCO decided to award this place as the '7th New Wonder of the Natural World.'”
“Can't get enough!! Everything here looks like in a fairyland! Such an unspoiled and untainted nature!! It's more fun in the Philippines!! Dreaming of having this weather everyday at home as well. Why can't I just take the sun home with me?” she added.
Meanwhile, Carolyn promised, “7,107 islands, and I will explore you all!” — Bianca Rose Dabu/RSJ, GMA News
