Janine Tugonon: Miss Universe opened doors to a different life

Participating in the Miss Universe pageant can lead to new opportunities even if you don't win, and nobody knows that more than Janine Tugonon.

In an interview with Kara David on News To Go before the pageant, the Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up said that a candidate's career does not necessarily have to end once the pageant is over.

"The Miss Universe opened me to a different...life, or different path, that I never knew existed," Tugonon said.

The former beauty queen is pursuing a modeling career in the US, and has worked with both Victoria's Secret and NU Muses.
