‘Wardrobe malfunction’ fails to stop 'superhero' Miss USA from showcasing costume
Miss USA 2016 Deshauna Barber had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction during the Parade of Nations for the 65th Miss Universe preliminary competition last week.
Her superhero-inspired costume failed to show its “surprise” on stage, leaving the beauty queen tugging on the string for a while before eventually posing and owning the all-silver outfit as it is.
“A superhero knows how to handle any situation: #MissUsa is the essence of a superhero,” an official Miss USA Instagram post said.
The costume was supposed to work like this.
Backstage, the American beauty queen—who is also the first active member of the military to join the Miss Universe—got the chance to show off the entirety of her national costume.
Way to go, Captain USA!
