Who are designer Albert Andrada's top 5 picks for Pia Wurtzbach's successor?

For Albert Andrada, the designer of Pia Wurtzbach's iconic blue gown last year, who are the top five contenders to win the Miss Universe crown this year?

In an interview with GMA News' "News To Go" Friday, the fashion designer revealed his picks, and "number one is Brazil," he revealed.

"We have Philippines, of course. We have Costa Rica, Mexico, at saka Nicaragua."

Miss Philippines Maxine Medina and Miss Brazil Raissa Santana also made Missosology's hot picks earlier, along with Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane, Miss Venezuela Mariam Habach, and Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar.

Andrada said he finds Miss Colombia pretty and would include her if he could name more than five.

Explaining the dominance of Latin American women on his list, Andrada said, "The Latinas stood out on (Thursday) because they're tall, at saka makikita mo iba ang aura nila. They were trained for this event."

"For Asia naman we have (Miss) Thailand. (Miss) Vietnam is pretty also," he added.

"(Miss Thailand) is not that tall, parang mukha siyang matangkad because of confidence."

"Actually lahat sila, they're all very beautiful," he concluded, stating that it'll be a tough competition for Maxine Medina.

Miss Universe 2013 third runner up Ariella Arida agreed that the women are all very competitive this year but said that it would be an "easy Top 5" for Medina.

However, she also agrees that Miss Brazil is a real head turner.

"Unang kita ko palang kay Brazil...actually, hindi pa siya dumadating dito, the moment na nanalo siuya sa pageant sa Brazil (I already stalked her)," Arida said.

Andrada seconded, "She's not only very tall, at saka meron siyang character na ma-a-attract ka." — AT/VVP, GMA News
