How our beauty queens fared in 2016

Pia Wurtzbach's reign as Miss Universe made 2016 a glorious year for Filipino pageant fans, and the glamour continued with one major win this year.

This year's solo win belongs to Kylie Verzosa, who became the country's 6th Miss International titlist.

Miss Grand International 2016 runner-up Nicole Cordoves strummed a more controversial note, picking Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton during the pageant's political final question:

Although she failed to place, Catriona Gray was able to share what could have been had she been crowned Miss World 2016:

Even without official titles, these Filipinas proved to be queens in their own right.
