Noel Bazaar continues at Filinvest Tent Alabang, SMX Pasay

Today's the last day of the Noel Bazaar at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. But don't fret! You can still catch the bazaar in two locations: Filinvest Tent in Alabang and SMX Convention Center in Pasay.

The annual bazaar will be held at the Filinvest Tent from December 2 to 4 and later at the SMX Convention Center from December 15 to 18.

Noel Bazaar, presented by GMA Network, is one of the country's biggest and longest-running shopping events. Proceeds from the bazaar will go to charity.

The bazaar features over 400 shops and food outlets. Shoppers can buy anything from clothes, shoes, bags, holiday decor, and even big-ticket items like cars and condo units.

One of the most popular sections at the Noel Bazaar is the Celebrity Ukay Ukay booth of GMA Kapuso Foundation which features pre-loved items from Kapuso celebrities.

The prices range from as low as P200 for pre-loved shirts or dresses of celebrities to as high as P20,000 for Sen. Manny Pacquiao's shoes; or Chanel and Gucci bags for P25,000 each.

During the opening of the bazaar at the World Trade Center on November 18, two of the country's hottest stars — Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza were featured in a celebrity auction.

Items donated by the pair fetched almost P40,000 for the GMA Kapuso Foundation, which will use the funds for its educational programs.

One of the items sold was Maine's limited edition jacket that she wore in the movie "Imagine You and Me."

The lady who bought Maine's jacket for P15,000 was an 80-year-old woman, Remedios Nery, who used to teach English at the Manila Science and was also the supervisor of English at the Division of City Schools in Manila.

Nery told GMA News Online that she's a solid Kapuso fan, adding in jest that she's also still single and available.

She said she passes her time watching shows on GMA Channel 7 and that Alden and Maine are her favorites at the moment because of their simplicity, humility, and wholesome attitude.

Meanwhile, three other elderly ladies also participated in the bidding for Alden and Maine's selected, pre-loved items but they were unsuccessful at purchasing pieces from the auction.

The three women — Amelia Mogello, Milagros Entac, and Violeta Cuaderno, told GMA News Online that they only met one another while lining up for the "Imagine You and Me" movie of Alden and Maine.

They have since been going together as a group to attend events featuring Alden and Maine such as the celebrity auction.

The trio said the last time they each were fans of a celebrity love team was during the time of "Guy and Pip" or Nora Aunor and Tirso Cruz.

Asked whom they liked better between Alden and Maine, they quickly answered, "Maine" and only Violeta said, "80-20, Maine."

Aside from Alden and Maine, those who donated items include Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Dennis Trillo, Tom Rodriguez, Carla Abellana, Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Umali, Bea Binene, Gabbi Garcia, Ruru Madrid, Andre Paras, Julie Anne San Jose, among others. —NB, GMA News
