Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Maxine Medina as a Disney Princess in fan art

Beauty queen Maxine Medina on Thursday posted words of gratitude for an artwork done by her fans depicting her as a Disney Princess. 

Medina thanked two Malaysian supporters who imagined her as Pocahontas, a Native American historical figure whose life was popularized by an animated Disney film. 

"My mother sensed a war in her womb, and so she raised me to fight," the proud morena wrote in the caption, quoting a poem by Hafsa Atique, and additionally said, "This is me. Thank you for the wonderful artwork."

Her fellow Binibining Pilipinas - Universe titlist and reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach also received the Disney Princess treatment from a fan. Artist Jimmy Mulligan imagined Wurtzbach as a dark-haired Queen Elsa from "Frozen." — AT, GMA News
