The two tiger cubs — Duterte and Leni — were presented to the public for the first time on Thursday.
Both two months old, the two cubs are offsprings of Tiger Cory and Tiger Ninoy, both Bengal tigers, the most numerous tiger subspecies.
Housed inside the zoo in Malabon City are over 12 Bengal tigers, eight of which were born in captivity.

Malabon zoo owner Manny Tangco said Tigers Duterte and Leni follow a strict diet.
"Silang dalawa po, isang can po ng milk araw-araw. And kumakain sila ng almost half kilo of beef and pork each a day," he said.
Asked why he named the tigers after Duterte and Robredo, he said it is symbolic of his hope that the Philippines would have a tiger economy in the coming years.
"Pinapangalanan po natin ang ating mga tiger after politicians and presidents because we want our economy to be a tiger economy," he explained.
However, the cubs reportedly share more than just the names of the two most powerful people in the country.
Tangco said the two cubs have some traits similar to Duterte and Robredo.
"Si Tiger Duterte po, he says it as it is po. Frank na frank po siya. Inaalagaan rin niya ang kapatid niya. Si Tiger Leni naman po, mahinhin, very kind and very gentle po pero kapag kailangang maging strikto, nagiging strikto po siya," Tangco shared.

He also shared that the two cubs are currently staying in his own bedroom as this would help the tigers become more friendly towards people.
"All the animals here, when they are babies, they grow up in my bedroom so that when they grow up, they have human interaction, they become loving to people and they will interact with people," he said. — VVP, GMA News
