Chesca Kramer coaches moms on how to make the perfect brows

Even if you're not a mother, you've probably wondered what "fleek" is and if you're on it. Suddenly, there's a whole new game for eyebrows and if you feel like you're losing, Chesca Garcia-Kramer has your back.

She'll be manning the "Fab Momma" segment of the new lifestyle show "Mommy Manual" and to up her makeup creds, Chesca demonstrated her skills during a press event on Wednesday.

"Find out your basic makeup essentials," she advised, telling women that the important thing is to find a look that suits your lifestyle and your skin type. "Find the proper shade for your complexion."

She added that there's no need to hide your skin if you're taking great care of it and for the eyebrows, she said that following an outline is easier than drawing abstract.

"Groom your eyebrows first!" she said.

Shaping your eyebrows starts with plucking a few strays. For her routine, Chesca said that she goes for a threading and, to save money, she picks out wayward strands. After that, she just follows the outline to shape.

Contouring

If you're wondering if you're doing contouring right, Chesca suggests you back away from the brush and consider your needs first.

"If you don't work in front of the camera, there's no need to contour," she said. "If you're not good at blending, huwag na lang."

In the end, great skin still the best base and a thin layer of moisturizer and a good BB or CC cream is all the makeup you need—and a touch of powder, if you want a more matte look as opposed to dewy, fresh from the shower look. —KG, GMA News

"Mommy Manual" starts on June 20 and airs every Monday, 8:30 a.m. on GMA News TV.
