Baby boy for Swedish crown princess

STOCKHOLM - The heir to the Swedish throne Crown Princess Victoria gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday, her second child who becomes the third in line to the crown.

"The baby and Victoria are doing very well," her husband Prince Daniel told reporters at the Karolinska hospital in Stockholm.

The couple are expected to announce the new prince's name on Thursday. His sister Estelle has just celebrated her fourth birthday.

King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Queen Silvia now have four grandchildren, with a fifth on the way in April. — Agence France-Presse
