LOOK: Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica star in a love story on wheels on ‘Wagas’

The Aljur-Kris loveteam is back this Saturday in the "Wagas" episode "Love On Wheels."

Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal star as Carmelita at Rolly, two wheel-chair bound youths studying at a school for persons with disabilities.


Carmelita, who was stricken with polio as a child, enters Bahay Mapagmahal as a first-year high school student, and at first she does not like being in a school where everyone else is in a wheelchair.

Then she meets Rolly, a  member of the school's rondalla. They do not like each other at first, but begin to warm to each other. Rolly, too, is a polio survivor.



Years later, fate has them meet again—at Tahanang Walang Hagdan, where both find employment. There they begin to fall in love.




Both stars welcomed the chance to work together again.

“Namiss namin ang isa’t isa at yung pakiramdam na kinikilig ulit. Salamat sa 'Wagas' dahil parang na-revive ulit ang Aljur-Kris love team,” Aljur said. — BM, GMA News
