Mango festival marks Cebu barangay’s anniversary
(Updated 2:12 p.m., May 28, 2015) A barangay in Cebu City known for its mangoes appropriately marked its anniversary with a Mangga Festival last weekend.
Barangay Kalunasan marked its fourth Mangga Festival with street dancing activities, GMA Cebu's Alan Domingo reported Tuesday.
The dancers wore colorful costumes and brought mango-themed props during their performances.
Barangay Kalunasan's mango festival seeks to promote the fruit, which is the village's main product.
In turn, the festival is one of the highlights of the barangay's 73rd founding anniversary, which falls on June 8. — Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
