WATCH: Ryan Gosling finally eats his cereal in honor of meme maker

To honor the creator of "Ryan Gosling won't eat his cereal," Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling finally ate his cereal in a Vine he posted on Wednesday.  

The meme was started by Scottish filmmaker Ryan McHenry in 2013. He made the much-loved Vines where Gosling seems to refuse to eat his cereal. The six-second videos became a huge hit online.



The creator of the meme recently passed away after his two-year battle against bone cancer, which he found out six months after he created his first Gosling meme. Shortly after his death, a Ryan McHenry memorial fund was begun to raise money for cancer research.

In a follow-up tweet, Gosling left a message for McHenry's family and friends.

My heart goes out to all of Ryan McHenry's family and friends. Feel very lucky to have been apart of his life in some small way.
