Son of Jimmy Santos joins Mr. Republic of the Philippines pageant

The son of comedian Jimmy Santos has joined the male pageant Mr. Republic of the Philippines 2015.

 

In the press presentation of the candidates on Wednesday, Jerome Santos displayed his good looks and body along with 24 other model hopefuls from all over the country.

 

"Naging proud siya sa akin," he told Saksi about how his father reacted to his participation in the pageant. "Actually 'yun lang 'yung pinu-prove ko rin para may mapatunayan din ako sa pamilya ko."

 

 

Other candidates include PO1 Dennis Keliag, who is dubbed as "Guwapulis" due to his resemblance to actor and Starstruck survivor Mark Herras.

 

According to Keliag, he was inspired to join the competition due to the success of his fellow police officer PO2 Neil Perez, who won the Mister International 2014.

 

Also joining the model search is Fil-Am United States Marine Marvin Rick Sanchez, who hails from Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. —Marisse Panaligan/JST, GMA News
