Pink jeepneys for women, elderly, PWDs start plying routes
Women, the elderly and persons with disabilities stand to benefit from a new line of jeepneys designed especially for them.
Starting Saturday, a fleet of pink jeepneys plied the route between Guadalupe in Makati City and Pateros town, GMA News' Jay Sabale reported on GMA News TV's "Balitanghali Weekend."
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board said the jeeps - with drivers wearing pink shirts - will prioritize women, the elderly and persons with disabilities.
Photos tweeted by GMA's Sabale showed the jeeps had the sign "Para sa Interes ng Kababaihan, may Kapansanan at Kabataan."
