MJ Lastimosa on gown issue: 'I would wear anything kasi I'm confidently beautiful'

For Mary Jean Lastimosa, it wasn't about the gown.

 

After her supporters blamed her outfits for the failure of the Philippines bet further in the 63rd Miss Universe pageant earlier this week, MJ said it wasn't the issue.

 

She also denied getting into a tiff with Binibining Pilipinas Charities head Stella Marquez Araneta backstage over her choice of gown.

 

 

"I would wear anything kasi I'm confidently beautiful," she said in a report on "24 Oras" on Thursday. 

 

"Sabi ko, kahit ano, kahit anong suotin ko sa stage na yan, kahit mamantsahan man at mantel na lang ang pasuot niyo sa 'kin, I'm gonna rock it."

 

Araneta had been the target of the ire of MJ's supporters over the decision to have the beauty queen wear a creation by designer Alfredo Barazza. Like Araneta, Barazza is a Colombian national. — JST, GMA News
