WATCH: MJ Lastimosa highlights in Miss Universe preliminary competition 

Whether covered up in her evening gown or baring her healthy bod in her swimwear, the Philippines' bet Mary Jean Lastimosa overflowed with confidence during the Miss Universe pageant's preliminary competition on Wednesday night (Thursday morning PHL time) in Miami, Florida. 

 

The 27-year-old Miss Universe Philippines first strutted in a sparkly pink crop top and skirt while introducing herself to the screaming audience. 

 

 

She next appeared donning a white beaded mermaid-style strapless gown with mid-thigh sheer cutout, again to a screaming crowd.

 

 

"Philippines enjoys traveling the world alone as it forces her to make friends with other countries. She's fascinated with museums and other cultures, and recently began acting classes," the host said while Lastimosa was walking around the stage. 

 

For her final appearance for the night, the Filipina stunner wore a fuschia pink two-piece bikini for the swimwear competition. Once again, the crowd cheered loudly as MJ twirled with confidence.

 

 

"Philippines graduated with honors with a degree on computing engineering. She loves fashion and dreams of one day being a personal stylist to a princess or a queen," the host said while Lastimosa sashayed while giving the fans a wide smile. — Trisha Macas/JST, GMA News
