2015 British invasion: One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith to perform in PHL

2015 will be a bumper year for Filipino fans of British pop musicians and bands, with One Direction, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith among the big names that will be holding concerts in Metro Manila next year.

With the exception of One Direction, all of these acts will be performing at the SM Mall of Asia Arena iin Pasay City.

The 1975 - Manchester band The 1975 came out with their eponymous debut album in 2013. They performed at a series of mall shows in Metro Manila earlier this year, and will be back in the Philippines next year, this time for a concert on January 24.



The Vamps - Another Brit four-piece follows on February 1: teenage group The Vamps, who released their debut single "Can We Dance" in 2013 and their debut album "Meet The Vamps" in April this year.



Ed Sheeran - Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will be performing here on March 12. Due to the concert selling out quickly, the organizer has added additional tickets, now on sale.



One Direction - The five-member boy band One Direction is one of the biggest acts on the planet. As part of their global tour "On The Road Again," the boys will be in the Philippines for their first shows here on March 21 and 22 at the SM Concert Grounds on Ocean Drive in Pasay City.



Sam Smith - Singer-songwriter Sam Smith is the latest performer to join the lineup of British acts who will be coming to the Philippines next year. The "Lay Me Down" singer released his debut studio album "In The Lonely Hour" and embarked on his tour of the same name earlier this year. He will be at the SM MAll of Asia Arena on May 10. Tickets will be on sale starting December 16.
