Street mural in Manila pays tribute to Pinoy resilience in face of calamity

A community-wide street mural project in the alleyway leading to the Claro M. Recto High Scool in Legarda Manila captures the Filipino spirit of resilience in the face of calamity.

"Kulay Sining sa Kahandaan" is a community mural-painting event held by the Department of Interior and Local Government in partnership with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) aimed at strengthening people’s adaptive capacity for disaster risk reduction and management.

The street mural brings the message of love, hope and life, especially to informal settlers who live in the "danger zones" of cities and are highly vulnerable to any form of calamity.
