The Philippine Postal Corp. has issued stamps marking the 65th founding anniversary of Kapatagan town in Lanao del Norte province.
PHLPost said it started issuing some 104,000 of the stamps with P10 denominations on June 5. The stamps bear an image of the Kapatagan municipal building, seal, and Cathedral Falls.
"Kapatagan was formerly a part of Kolambugan, it existed as municipal district from 1939 to 1948. Kapatagan later became a larger municipality July 5, 1949 by Virtue of Executive Order No. 273," it said.
By the end of 2007, it said Kapatagan is home to 49,134 residents.
