Visual artists, musicians, and supporters gathered in front of G.V. Florida Transport, Inc.'s terminal in Sampaloc, Manila to commemorate the bus crash that took the lives of their friends and loved ones five months ago in Bontoc.

Musicians jammed on the sidewalk while others painted a panel bearing the faces of some of those who died in the February 7 crash.

The new mural replaces a previous one also made by the group that disappeared not long after it was painted.

The survivors and the relatives of the victims are now advocating for road safety in light of the bus crash. On Sunday, Lei Jimenez, widow of comedian Tado Jimenez, said that the victims' families, the survivors and the Land Transportation Regulatory and Franchising Bureau (LTFRB) are going to get together to discuss the Court of Appeals' recent lifting of GV Florida's suspension imposed on it by the LTFRB.

Fourteen people were killed and dozens more were injured when the GV Florida bus they were riding fell down a ravine in Mountain Province last February. It was found that the bus did not have a proper permit to operate and was using fake license plates. — Rouchelle R. Dinglasan/BM, GMA News
