Miss International Bea Rose Santiago receives warm homecoming in Masbate

Reigning Miss International Bea Rose Santiago received a warm homecoming on Sunday when she returned to her hometown of Cataingan in Masbate.

According to a report on Balitanghali, Santiago's arrival coincided with a local festival, and crowds were out on the streets to greet her motorcade.

Santiago said she plans to spend her vacation in the province to spend time with friends and family.



Santiago, a 23-year-old model, was born in Alabang, Muntinlupa City but grew up in Cataingan. When she was 16, she and her family moved to Toronto, Canada.

Last December 17 in Tokyo, Santiago became the fifth Filipino to win Miss International when she bested 66 other contestants to take the crown. — BM, GMA News
