SM makes over beauty department


When you walk into this store, you'll notice the spacious aisles, the subdued lighting and shiny floors. Shelves of beauty products are neatly arranged into sections with large signs hanging on the walls and uniformed consultants standing at every corner. In case you're wondering if you've accidentally stepped into an upscale store, you're actually looking at the sexier and prettier version of SM Makati's beauty department, now called Beauty by SM.

Pretty sophisticated. The new Beauty by SM evokes a classy vibe with its polished floors, wide aisles and subdued lighting.
Marketing Director Victoria Encarnacion said the revamped store look is part of the plan to make Beauty by SM the preferred destination for Filipino’s beauty needs. “The launch of our flagship store is timely because we have noticed that the tastes of our customers have experienced an upgrade," she said. “It is just right that SM, the country’s [top] retailer, also upgrades its beauty offering."
Easy-breezy shopping. The beauty hall has dedicated sections and large signages to help customers shop with ease.
After a massive makeover, the plain beauty corner has transformed into a sophisticated beauty hall reaching 1,390 square meters and over 7,000 unique products for beauty, skin care and fragrance. Since sections of the hall are dedicated to specific product categories, customers can now find what they need easily and breeze through their shopping time.
One stop beauty shop. With over 7,000 products in its selection, Beauty by SM promises to fill every beauty need.
For men who feel a bit uneasy going into a beauty store, Beauty by SM dedicated a corner for the Men’s Zone where they can shop for skin care and grooming essentials.
For the beauty-conscious men. Guys can go straight to the Men's Zone for their grooming essentials.
Tessie Sy-Coson of the SM Group of Companies said other SM Supermalls across the country are lined up for upgrades this year. Does this mean SM will now be too sosyal for the masa? Sy-Coson assures only SM's looks has changed, “The offerings and prices are going to be the same. But the environment is going to be more contemporary and up market looking. I think we owe it to our customers to give them a better environment. Giving them a better shopping experience is part of our customer service." - GMANews.TV
