Takashi Murakami announced as speaker at Graphika Manila 2025
Takashi Murakami is coming to Manila in 2025!
The renowned Japanese contemporary artist was announced as one of the speakers of Graphika Manila, an annual conference all about creativity which brings together design professionals, students, and enthusiasts.
Murakami is best known for being the artist behind the colorful smiling flowers, now known as Murakami’s Flowers. More of his signature themes include skulls and mushrooms, as well as influences in manga, anime, and psychedelic art.
A pioneer of Japanese contemporary art, he works in painting and sculpture, and his art has also appeared in the forms of fashion, merchandise, and animation, among many others.
Murakami has collaborated with brands like Louis Vuitton, Vans, and Supreme. He has also worked with musicians, creating album art and animations for Kanye West, Billie Eilish, NewJeans, and more.
Graphika Manila is set for March 1 and 2, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Super Early Bird tickets are now up for P2,880 and P2,680 for students via the Graphika Store website.
