Museo Pambata to reopen on December 6
Museo Pambata is back!
The Philippines's first children's museum is set to reopen on Friday, December 6, just days after it celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Its reopening comes two years after it closed in 2022 during the pandemic and underwent renovations.
In an interview with "24 Oras Weekend," which aired on Sunday, Museo Pambata president Bambi Mañosa-Tanjutco shared that they had to fix the roof of the museum due to leaks.
Its walls also got a fresh coat of paint, while new lights were installed to make the space brighter.
Aside from museum mainstays such as the model of a Spanish galleon and a tranvia, among others, visitors can check out a new space called Balay Yatu, which features artworks made by the youth from different regions of the country.
"We still want those kids who have grown up in Museo Pambata to bring their children, so it's going to be really all about generations," said Mañosa-Tanjutco.
Museo Pambata is open from Fridays to Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an entrance fee of P450.
It is located on Roxas Boulevard cor. South Drive, Ermita, Manila.
