'Lost Sabungeros' to have final screening at QCinema on November 17
"Lost Sabungeros," the first-ever investigative documentary film of GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures, will have a final special screening at the QCinema International Film Festival on November 17.
GMA Pictures announced on Friday that the documentary will be screened on Sunday, 1:15 p.m., at Cinema 11 in Gateway Cineplex 18. It will also be the last day of the film festival.
The final screening was added due to public demand following sold-out screenings.
"Lost Sabungeros" premiered at QCinema on November 9 and had another screening on November 12. After its premiere, Kapuso journalist Kara David led a talkback session with the film's production team and families of the missing cockfighters.
The documentary was set to premiere at the Cinemalaya in August, but its screenings were canceled due to "security concerns."
Directed by Bryan Brazil, "Lost Sabungeros" looks into the mystery that happened between April 2021 and January 2022, when 34 cockfighters or sabungeros vanished without a trace.
