Taylor Swift leads 2024 MTV EMAs nominations; Lisa of Blackpink earns 4 nods
The MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) kicked off its 2024 season with the announcement of this year's nominations.
Taylor Swift led with seven nods, including Best Artist, Best Pop, Best US Act, Best Live, and Biggest Fans categories. Her song “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone was nominated for Best Collaboration and Best Video.
Meanwhile, Lisa of Blackpink led the list of K-pop stars at the EMAs after earning four nominations. She is nominated for Best K-pop and will be competing against BTS members Jimin and Jungkook, Le Sserafim, NewJeans, and Stray Kids.
Lisa is also nominated for the Biggest Fans category. Her song “New Woman” featuring Spanish singer Rosalia is nominated for Best Video and Best Collaboration.
Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter also received nominations in five categories such as Best Song, Best Video and Best Artist, among others.
Meanwhile, P-pop sensation BINI has been nominated for the Best Asia Act category.
Fans can cast their votes at the MTV EMAs website.
The MTV EMAs is set to take place on November 10 in Manchester, London.
