'Drag Race PH:' Maxie's 5 best moments in Season 3

'Drag Race PH:' Maxie's 5 best moments in Season 3

Winning the third Drag Race Philippines crown — next to Precious Paula Nicole and Captivating Katkat — proves Maxie is the strongest contender among the 11 competing queens in Season 3.

As Maxie's victory celebration continues, here are five of her best moments in the show, which contributed to cementing S3 as the best one yet for the Philippine franchise.

1. Maxie's endless sibling support to Angel

In "The Sustaina-Ball" episode, Maxie cheered the loudest for her sister Angel, when she had to do the lip sync for your life against Tita Baby.

Everybody thought Angel was going to be sent home, but when Mama Pao decided for a "double shantay," Maxie came running to her sister, crying out of happiness.

Later in the season, Maxie demonstrated the same support as Angel battled it out against Khianna in the "Lip Sync Lalaparuza Smackdown" episode.

2. Maxie's endearing moment with her dad

In the "Super Queens" episode, Maxie transformed her dad into her twin superhero, showing on international TV how her father has supported her and her siblings' pursuits in life.

3. Maxie confronting J Quinn and Myx Chanel

When Myx Chanel was eliminated in Episode 8 and left a shady exit line, claiming she was the only contestant in S3 who uplifted the drag community, Maxie couldn't help but react during her confessionals.

In the mini-challenge of Episode 9 that followed, Maxie was asked who among the queens she liked the least and fearlessly said Myx and J Quinn. She confronted Myx for being arrogant and for being allegedly fake in the show and, at the same time, called out J Quinn for talking about Angel behind her back — all while reminding them they were already defeated in the competition.

4. Maxie’s verse in Slay, Accla

Maxie’s verse in “Slay, Accla” truly left a mark this season.

In her lyrics, she sang, “Hindi ko pagdadamot, lahat magkakaroon, para sa lahat ng mga henerasyon, Kung kinaya ko ‘to, ay kakayanin mo.”

(I'm sharing the spotlight so everyone can dance, for all the generations to come, I conquered it, so you will overcome it!)

Spoken like a true, selfless queen!

5. Maxie crowning Angel in the finale

Up until the finale, Maxie proved that she stays true to her words, “Gangsta sa Manila, kuya sa pamilya.”

In the final "lip sync for the crown" battle with Khianna to the tunes of "Lipad Ng Pangarap" by Angeline Quinto and Regine Velasquez, Maxie brought Angel back to the stage and gave her a little crowning moment, sharing the spotlight with her sister until the very end.

Prior to winning "Drag Race Philippines" S3, Maxie competed in "Queen of the Universe" S2, where she bowed out early due to an injury.

Congratulations, Maxie!
