Carlos Yulo graces Tatler Philippines’ October cover
Carlos Yulo is the latest cover star of Tatler Philippines.
On social media, the high society lifestyle magazine shared the cover photo of the October issue, featuring the double-Olympic gold medalist hanging from gymnastics rings.
In the photo taken by renowned photographer Mark Nicdao, Carlos wore only leggings, putting his toned abs and biceps front and center. Two gold medals hung from his neck.
“His historic triumph at the 2024 Paris Olympics made history and served as a powerful source of inspiration and national pride for the Philippines,” the caption read.
Tatler will tell the story of Yulo’s “extraordinary journey from a budding gymnast to becoming an Olympian.”
“It sheds light on the countless hours of dedication, unwavering determination, and the unwavering support of those who believed in him, all culminating in his awe-inspiring win at the Olympics,” it added.
Tatler's post on Facebook has already been shared more 200 times and liked more than 2,300 times as of writing.
Carlos made history at the 2024 Paris Olympics by winning two gold medals. He ruled both the floor exercise and vault in men's gymnastics.
He is the country's second-ever gold medalist in the Olympics, and one of only four Filipinos to win two medals.
Since the sporting event, Carlos has attended several homecoming events, including a meeting with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on August 13 and a heroes' parade in Manila the day after.
Carlos also visited GMA Network in August.
