'Bar Boys: A New Musical' returns for a limited run in October!

"Bar Boys: A New Musical" is returning for a limited five-week run in October.

The news was announced at the curtain call of "Mula sa Buwan" Sunday with the five cast members Alex Diaz, Benedix Ramos, Jerom Canlas, Omar Uddin, and Shiela Francisco reprising their roles.

According to Barefoot Theater Collaborative, "Bar Boys" will run this October 4 to November 3, 2024 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater, Circuit Makati.

"Bar Boys: A New Musical" is adapted from Kip Oebanda's 2017 film for Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino. It follows the life of four friends and their journey to become defenders of justice in the Philippines. 

Book and lyrics are by Pat Valera, who will return to direct alongside Mikko Angeles.

Myke Salomon, who composed the adaptation’s original songs, will also serve as the musical director. Jomelle Era will also return for movement direction. 

The "Bar Boys" rerun will close Barefoot Theater Collaborative's successful 2024 season.

Tickets to its opening weekend are already available.
