FDCP releases schedule for Philippine Film Industry Month in September
The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) on Saturday announced its month-long schedule for the Philippine Film Industry Month (PFIM) in September.
The fourth PFIM will follow the theme "Tuloy ang Tradisyon ng Pelikulang Pilipino."
According to FDCP, the opening ceremony will be on September 1 with a free screening of "Aguila" by National Artist for Cinema, Eddie Romero, at 3:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila.
PFIM will also hold several screenings, talks, conventions, and exhibits to honor film legends from across the Philippines, and also conduct a film pitch seminar-workshop with the Directors’ Guild of the Philippines (DGPI).
From September 20 to 22, the Sinekabataan Short Film Lab and Festival Screenings and Film Talks will be held at the Red Carpet Cinema 1, Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong City.
The closing ceremony will be on September 27 at Seda Vertis North in Quezon City, along with the DGPI x FDCP Film Pitch and Awarding Ceremony.

In 2021, President Rodrigo Duterte declared September as the “Philippine Film Industry Month.” The activities and programs will be spearheaded by the FDCP, according to Proclamation 1085.
The FDCP is currently headed by award-winning filmmaker, Jose Javier Reyes, also called Direk Joey.
