PH’s Alethea Ambrosio wears sampaguita-inspired national costume for Miss Supranational competition

Miss Supranational 2024 just held its national costume competition, and for her look, the Philippines’ Alethea Ambrosio donned a sampaguita-inspired dress by Filipino designer Ehrran Montoya.

According to Ehrran’s Facebook post, Alethea’s costume celebrates the purity and grace of the Filipina.

It has intricate beadwork, textures in different shades of white, and details inspired by the delicate petals of the country’s national flower.

“The costume pays homage to the rich flora of the Philippines, incorporating elements that evoke the beauty of its tropical landscapes,” Ehrran said.

The costume also came with a matching headpiece and a sampaguita-inspired wreath.

Alethea flew to Poland for the international pageant last month.

She won The Miss Philippines crown in 2023, representing Bulacan.

She was crowned by Pauline Amelinckx, the Miss Supranational 2023 1st Runner Up and the first-ever Miss Philippines.

Alethea is vying for the Philippines’ second Miss Supranational title, following Mutya Datul’s win in 2013.

The upcoming Miss Supranational coronation night is happening on July 6 in Malopolska, Poland.
