Mutya ng Pilipinas on missing candidate: 'We are genuinely concerned about the safety of Ms. Geneva Sarita Lopez'
Mutya ng Pilipinas has voiced concern over the safety of Geneva Lopez, a candidate of Mutya ng Pilipinas - Pampanga who has been reported missing since June 21.
On Facebook Tuesday, the larger beauty organization said it was "in close coordination with its Mutya ng Pilipinas Pampanga franchisee, Ms. Weng Laughlin" over the issue.
"We are genuinely concerned about the safety of Ms. Geneva Sarita Lopez, one of the official candidates for this year's Mutya ng Pilipinas Pampanga 2024 who has been reported missing since June 21, 2024," it said.
Calling on law enforcement for a "swift resolution," Mutya ng Pilipinas said it "remains hopeful for Geneva’s safety as well as her Israeli fiancee, her companion on the day they both went missing."
Lopez and her Israeli boyfriend Yitshak Cohen were reported missing on Friday. June 21. In its post, Mutyta ng Pilipinas - Pampanga said it had no official schedule of activities on that day, which was allotted as rest time for the candidates. The post has since been deleted.
According to a 24 Oras report on Monday, June 24, Lopez's belongings, including an ID card, were confirmed founded in a burnt SUV, found in Tarlac.
The couple was reportedly going to Capas, Tarlac to look at property they were planning to purchase.
Representing the town of Sto.Tomas, Pampanga, Lopez is among the official candidates of Mutya ng Pilipinas Pampanga 2024.
