Michelle Dee marks one year since being crowned Miss Universe Philippines: 'One heck of a ride'

Michelle Dee is still overflowing with gratitude a year after being crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023.

To mark the anniversary, the Kapuso actress and beauty queen shared an Instagram Reel of her crowning moment.

In her caption, she said, “This has been an incredible year for the books and one heck of a ride all together.”

She made sure to thank the unwavering support and hard work of those with her because she “really couldn’t have done this.”

“To everyone who stood by me and our vision—thank you,” she added. “This journey has been ours, a true representation of our resilience and a celebration who we’re proud to be. All love."

In May last year, Michelle was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 at the coronation night held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. She represented Makati City and advocated for autism awareness.

Michelle competed in Miss Universe Philippines 2022 and was named Miss Universe Philippines Tourism.

She was also crowned Miss World Philippines 2019 and finished in the top 12 of the global competition.

Michelle finished in the Top 10 of Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador and several special awards. She is set to crown her successor at the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant on May 22.
