SB19’s Stell performs ‘Sometime, Somewhere’ at Ryan Cayabyab’s concert
SB19 member Stell has once again showcased his vocal prowess once again at Ryan Cayabyab's concert last Saturday, giving "Sometime, Somewhere" a new rendition.
As seen on Kakai Bautista’s social media post, the P-pop singer can be heard performing the song originally sung by Basil Valdez with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of the National Artist for Music himself.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Stell Ajero with The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of the National Artist for Music, Mr. Ryan Cayabyab!!!!” the actress and comedian wrote in the caption.
Stell's performance not only reintroduced the Ryan Cayabyab-penned song to a new generation of listeners, who are now only discovering the wonders of Basil Valdez, it also reaffirmed his position as a "high calibre" talent, according to one informed commenter in Kakai's post.
On his Instagram account, Stell posted snaps with the Ramon Magsaysay awardee and thanked him for his trust.
Ryan Cayabyab had a two-night show over the weekend. Aside from Stell, fellow OPM artists such as Juan Karlos, Ben&Ben and Bini also performed in Cayabyab’s 70th birthday concert "Gen C."
Stell together with his fellow SB19 members Pablo, Ken, Josh and Justin recently released their newest single "Moonlight.”
The five-piece group just finished their PAGTATAG! World Tour in Dubai and Japan.
To conclude their world tour, SB19 will have a back-to-back concert on May 18 and 19 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
