Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios wants to learn Philippine culture, language during her stay

Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios is thrilled to finally be in the Philippines.

The Nicaraguan beauty queen arrived in the country on Thursday night, wearing a one-sleeved terno-inspired short dress.

In an interview with GMA Integrated News aired on "Unang Balita" on Thursday, Sheynnis said, "It's a pleasure to be here."

She also said that she wants to "learn more about your beautiful country, Philippines, and obviously know more about [your language]."

"Mabuhay and maraming salamat po," she added.

Sheynnis will be in the country from May 1 to May 6 as part of her ongoing Asia tour. She has previously visited China, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.

Sheynnis is the first Nicaraguan to be crowned as Miss Universe. She succeeded Fil-Am beauty queen R'Bonney Gabriel, who is also currently in the Philippines. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
