Did you know that some of your favorite Filipino celebrities are also blessed with artistic talent?

Aside from their good looks, acting abilities, comedic genius, or athletic prowess, these popular personalities can also paint, draw, or take a photo like a boss.

1. Heart Evangelista

Heart Evangelista has made a name for herself in movies, TV, and fashion, but her love and passion are also seen in her paintings.

Heart is also a painter who focuses on painting women in her signature style as well as abstract pieces. Aside from painting on canvas, Heart also paints on Hermes bags. She calls the process of painting as showing "the language of my soul."

She has released prints of her 2013 artwork in 2023, and has collaborated with Incubus frontman and fellow visual artist Brandon Boyd for art projects.

2. Solenn Heussaff

Solenn Heussaff shares her painting prowess both on Instagram and in exhibits.

The actress is known for her realistic work, often showcasing people and nature. A recent Instagram video revealed that she can also interchange hands while painting.

Solenn had a solo exhibit in 2021 titled "Kundiman," and has teased an upcoming show this year.

3. Rico Blanco

Rico Blanco is a man of many skills with careers in music, acting, and entrepreneurship, but he is also talented in painting.

The former Rivermaya vocalist and solo musician once shared a painting he did almost 20 years ago, showing a surrealist-inspired painting of an ostrich running around a city.

The painting went viral in 2020, following the real-life incident of an ostrich running loose in Quezon City.

4. Richard Gomez

Richard Gomez is another public figure who has also dabbled in painting.

The actor and politician went viral in 2019 for his painting titled "OOOOHH," which was a yellow male reproductive organ against a black background. It was exhibited at ManilArt and priced at P196,000.

Goma said the painting symbolized "lust, self-pleasure, and power."

He has also exhibited his work at the Pinto Art Museum in 2018 for a group show titled "When Evening Comes."

5. Michael V.

With a pen and paper, Michael V can create the coolest portraits.

The actor and King of Philippine Parody is truly a skilled visual artist who sketches detailed and realistic pen portraits of personalities such as Mike Enriquez and Eddie Garcia, among others.

6. John Lloyd Cruz

When he's not making waves on screen, John Lloyd Cruz is the visual artist named Idan Cruz.

Idan's main medium is photography and he captures both landscapes and portraits. For his previous exhibits through the years, Idan uses a variety of equipment such as digital and film cameras and even his phone.

In 2022, he was tasked to take the portraits of the Cinemalaya directors.

He also has an Instagram account with photos of the interesting art he sees, titled @dumpsitegallery.

7. Xian Lim

Xian Lim has dabbled into work outside of being an actor, and these include directing, playing the classical piano, and painting.

The Kapuso actor had a solo exhibit in January titled "Daffodils & Dandelions" at Art Cube Gallery in Makati City.

This was announced with a portrait reminiscent of a classic realist painting, but with a melted head.

8. JC Intal

JC Intal is a former basketball player who also paints.

In 2020, he had his first solo exhibit titled "Rookie Mistake" at J Studio in Makati City.

JC's abstract pieces were made on canvas with thick, heavy textures.

The athlete said the paintings were inspired by who he loves the most—his two daughters Lucia and Carmen, his wife Bianca Gonzalez, his whole family, and of course, basketball.

9. Tom Rodriguez

Tom Rodriguez is very passionate about the arts, especially digital illustration and animation. He even delved into digital art during his downtime in between taping.

Aside from that, he once held a graphic design student workshop at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 2019. In 2020, Tom drew portraits for a cause to raise funds for jeepney drivers, street vendors, and construction workers whose livelihoods were affected by the pandemic lockdowns.

10. Catriona Gray

Aside from her beauty and brains, our Miss Universe 2018 is also oozing with artistic talent!

Catriona recently shared a work in progress painting of hers on Instagram, wowing everyone with her skills.

In the photo, the beauty queen has painted several flowers. The colors she mixed were also visible on a palette.
