Woman in Baguio gets her portrait taken using rare vintage camera

A woman in Baguio didn't miss the golden opportunity to get a rare portrait of herself taken by a master!

According to a report by Joseph Morong on "State of the Nation," Chairein, who is a video game creator, ran into the photographer Clinton Aniversario at a cafe.

Clinton snapped a portrait of Chairein using a vintage camera called the Afghan box, and she even wore traditional Filipina garb!

"Sobra po siyang educational for me," Chairein told GMA Integrated News. "To see a vintage camera, rare na po siya ngayon diba. But to experience being the subject of one, that is something na mas rare pa."

In a interview, Clinton explained the process.

"Maximum of eight shots lang a day, and para di masayang yung chemicals, minimum of four shots," he said. "Kasi ang processing time niya is mga 50 minutes. At kung nagkamali pa sa exposure, another 50 minutes para makita nila 'yung art of taking their portrait. At ang result, ibang iba."

According to the report, Clinton runs a photography project that aims to help children with special needs.

He also plans to go around the country and share the art of vintage photography. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
