Michelle Arceo, the Philippine representative to the recently concluded 32nd edition of Reina Hispanoamericana, has been named 2nd runner-up!
For those who don’t know Michelle, here are five interesting facts about the Filipina beauty queen.
1. She is Miss Environment International 2022 1st runner-up
Before Reina Hispanoamericana 2023, Michelle flew to India in 2022, where she competed in the Miss Environment International beauty pageant. She was eventually declared 1st runner-up.
2. She’s a cat mom
Just like Taylor Swift, Michelle is a cat mom! She even did a photoshoot with her cat Chai, similar to the “Lover” hitmaker’s Time magazine cover, where she was portrayed with Benjamin Button.
According to Michelle, Chai, is her "ever-present companion, source of joy, and anchor during the whirlwind of pageant preparations."
3. She is a model
Aside from being a beauty queen, Michelle is also a fashion model, strutting runways for huge brands like Bench. In fact, she was part of Bench Fashion Week last year.
4. Among her favorite subjects in school is History
On Instagram, Michelle revealed that History is one of her favorite school subjects.
"I’ve always been so fascinated with how life used to be, what people ate and wore, what work they did, governments, ideology," Michelle wrote in a post about her jaunt to the National Museum. "

Last year, she not only attended Harry Styles’ concert at the Philippine Arena, she also went to LANY’s 2022 concert in Manila.
Michelle may have settled for a 2nd runner-up finish at the Reina Hispanoamerican pageant, but she impressed everyone with her Waling-Waling National Costume, serving Filipina beauty through and through.
Peru took home the crown, with Brazil named 1st runner-up. Curacao was crowned third runner-up, and Colombia as fourth runner-up.
