Anjo Pertierra of 'Unang Hirit' shares first-time experience of participating in Traslacion

Anjo Pertierra, the weather presenter of “Unang Hirit,” just shared his firsthand experience of witnessing this year’s Traslacion.

On Instagram, the Kapuso host shared photos of himself holding a towel he successfully wiped in the Black Nazarene. He also shared a picture of his bare feet during the process of the religious activity.

“Naipunas po natin ang bimpo sa mismong Itim na Nazareno!” he wrote.

Anjo described his first experience participating in Traslacion as a “privilege.”

“‘Di matatawaran ang debosyon at pananampalataya ng mga deboto ng Poon ng Itim na Nazareno,” he said.

“Mabuhay po kayong lahat!” he added.

Traslacion is an annual procession from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church, featuring the 400-year-old black image of Jesus Christ. It takes place every January 9.
